The game is played on your smartphone. You’ll receive clues and riddles weekly, guiding you to complete tasks and uncover hidden gems. All you need is your smartphone and internet access. You’ll solve puzzles, explore websites, and maybe even do a bit of creative thinking. What’s the best part? There are many prizes waiting for you along the way – weekly surprises that could be yours just by playing.

Weekly Puzzle
Find a puzzle piece in Beeld newspaper (Beeld also online), get this puzzle ready for the last day, 10 September 2023 – it will reveal the final clue where the diamond is hidden.

 

6. What You'll Need to Participate
  • A smartphone with internet access and data (except for certain Huawei phones).

  • The Zappar Application (Free download from Play Store & iStore).

  • Active Facebook and Instagram accounts for both of you.

  • The ClueKeeper Application (Free download from Play Store & iStore).

  • Wedding & Lifestyle Website.

  • Be able to travel to Gauteng on the 10th of September 2023.

  • To solve the quests, the Wedding & Lifestyle E-Magazine and Website will be a good place to look for answers, as well as individual supplier’s / partner’s websites, and social media platforms. The objective is to get the answer but ultimately to learn more about the vendor, to have fun and to enjoy the wedding & lifestyle planning journey. Sometimes you will follow instructions, and sometimes you must get creative and use your own initiative.
7. Social Media Engagement

Engaging on social media is vital for the hunt. Our sponsors make this experience possible, offering amazing prizes and memories. We’re all about connections – introducing you and your networks to these fantastic vendors. Your support matters; follow and share on social media to show gratitude and help these vendors connect with more people, including potential clients. Your online engagement is a special way to thank them for their generosity and enhance this adventure.

8. Your Hunt Application: ClueKeeper
  • Download the “ClueKeeper” app. 
  • Purchase a “Hunt-Code / Ticket” from our website.
  • Receive your hunt code via email 24 hours before launch, all tickets purchased after 12 August will receive their hunting codes within 24 hours after purchase.
  • Enter the code in ClueKeeper to unlock the game. Your game will download.
  • Follow the steps below.
9. Essential ClueKeeper Steps
  1. Both of you (Bride & Groom to be) should download this app – it’s free. You must sign in using your Google OR Facebook account (For the reason to join as a team).
  2. Your next screen will have three buttons – My Hunts, Find Hunts, and Enter Hunt Code.
  3. On 12 August 2023, ONLY ONE OF YOU must click enter the Hunt Code.
  4. Your hunt will automatically start downloading.
  5. Once you have the hunt click the menu (3 dots) upper right corner.
  6. Set your team’s name, then add team member – here you enter your partners Gmail address or username he/she selected. Your team is now created, and you are joint, and your team member’s hunt will automatically download (be patient – it takes time – don’t touch the screen once the download started). If the hunt doesn’t automatically start, check the screen as the name will appear in the large window (LATEST HUNT), then click on it to start the download. Once the download stops, click on the “My Hunts” button, and it will appear there. Click to start. This download may take between 5 and 15 minutes depending on phone and data connection so be patient.

  8. READ YOUR WELCOME SCREEN, take a screenshot if you want to.
  9. Once you have completed the warmup, you are ready for your first clue!
10. Lucky Draw Prizes - Hidden Treasures
  • Discover weekly hidden treasures/vouchers.
  • Impact Radio will announce winners every Monday.
  • How these prizes will be won, are predetermined, and may vary from either being first to complete a set task, a lucky draw or where some initiative was shown.
  • Judges’ decisions are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  • To claim you Prize / Voucher – Collect your Prize Certificates at Toadbury Hall on 10 September 2023.
11. Here's the plan for the Final Day on 10 September 2023:

Unlock Your Dream Wedding:
Your Puzzle Holds the Key to Finding the Diamond

  • Get ready to assemble your puzzle.
  • Scan your puzzle once it’s live (We’ll confirm the exact time in the WhatsApp Communication Group).
  • Upon scanning, a clue will unveil the location of the diamond.
  • The first three couples to find a diamond will advance to the finals.
  • Once you find the diamond, you’ll receive a finish code – enter it right away to claim your position!
  • Even if you’re not among the first three, please enter the finish code so we have a record of the first six couples, in case one of the Top 3 is disqualified.
  • When all three diamonds are discovered, we will alert all Hunters via the WhatsApp Communication Group, after which all couples should join us at Toadbury Hall Country Hotel for a day of celebration and connection. Look out for more details on the WhatsApp Group.
  • If you didn’t find the diamond, don’t worry! You’ll get your finish code during the Celebration at Toadbury Hall Country Hotel.
12. Announcing the Winners:

Unlocking the Ultimate Prize:
Who Will Hold the Key to the Winning Treasure Box?

  • The first three couples who find a diamond on 10 September 2023, will undergo an audit to ensure compliance with the following criteria:
    • Successful completion of all tasks and challenges.
    • Both the soon-to-be bride and groom are 21 years or older.
    • The couples are engaged, not married.
  • Following the audit, the Top 3 will be officially announced and contacted.
  • The three finalists will be extended an invitation to the final day, with specific date and location details shared with them.
  • A panel of judges will conduct interviews with these couples and spend the day together, culminating in the selection of the winner of the Win a Wedding Treasure Box.
 
 
13. Frequently Asked Questions:

Answer: To participate, you need to register on the Wedding & Lifestyle Hub SA website and purchase ticket on our website for the upcoming hunt. 

Answer: The Early Bird fee for the Treasure Hunt is R290 per couple (R145 p/p) and R390 per couple during the normal registration period.

Answer: The next Treasure Hunt starts on August 12th 2023, and lasts for four weeks, with the last day being September 10th 2023.

Answer: Yes, you can play the Treasure Hunt from anywhere using your smartphone. Keep in mind that the last day might involve travelling as you need to find the diamond.

Answer: Yes, you need to be present on the final day of the Treasure Hunt, which is September 10th 2023, or you can send a friend as a representative.

Answer: If you miss the clues on the release day, they will be available on the Wedding & Lifestyle Hub SA Facebook the day after.

Answer: Couples will receive their Treasure Map (Game Guide) and Hunting Code via email, 24hours prior to the hunt’s launch. The map will indicate the dates the clues will be released and where to find them, which can be on radio, newspapers, or social media.

Answer: No, the traveling costs of vendors, if applicable, are not included in the prize. Winners will be responsible for covering any travel expenses incurred by the vendors. Each sponsor may have their own additional terms and conditions associated with their specific prizes. Please refer to their terms for more information.

Answer: No, the Treasure Hunt is only for engaged couples (soon-to-be bride and groom). Except when otherwise stated.

Answer: Yes, participants must be 21 years old or above to join the Treasure Hunt.

Answer: No, you do not have to drive anywhere for the main tasks. Only bonus tasks may involve driving, and the last day of the Hunt, except if it’s an online Hunt.

Answer: If you encounter the message “code archived,” it usually indicates that the code you scanned is not currently active. This could be due to various reasons, such as a code expiration, connectivity issues, or the Zappar Code activation being scheduled for a later stage. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and try scanning the code again. If the issue persists, the specific Zappar code may no longer be valid, or it is scheduled to go live at a later stage or is currently inactive for a specific reason.

16. Refund Policy

Refund Policy for Hunt Tickets

Before purchasing a Hunt Ticket for the Wedding & Lifestyle Treasure Hunt, please ensure that you have thoroughly reviewed the Terms & Conditions as well as the Hunt Information Guide. It’s essential to be familiar with the eligibility criteria and game details.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Please be informed that once you use the Hunt Code to access the game, we won’t be able to accommodate any refund requests. It’s important to note that after using the Hunt Code to download the Hunt, third-party service providers are remunerated in full. This policy ensures the smooth operation of the refund process and supports the commitments made to our partners.

Cancellation Within 10 Days Before Game Start:
If you decide to cancel your Hunt Ticket purchase within 10 days before the game starts, a cancellation fee of R50 will be applicable. This fee is designed to cover third-party costs associated with processing the cancellation.

Cancellation During the Game or Less Than 7 Days Prior to Start Date:
Should you wish to cancel your Hunt Ticket while the game is ongoing or within 7 days prior to the start date, a cancellation fee of R125 will be charged. This fee accounts for third-party costs and operational considerations that are incurred as a result of the cancellation.

Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Circumstances:
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel your Hunt Ticket due to exceptional reasons, please contact us at hunt@weddingandlifestyle.co.za to discuss your situation. Please note that while we sympathize with unexpected events, we are unable to waive third-party costs, and the applicable cancellation fee will still be in effect.

Processing Refunds:

Refund requests must be made via email to hunt@weddingandlifestyle.co.za. The refund amount will be processed within a reasonable time frame, and any applicable fees will be deducted from the refund amount. Please note that refund processing times may vary based on external payment processors.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our refund policy. Our goal is to provide an exceptional and fair experience for all participants.
